Early Life and Career

Catherine Isabel was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on November 2, 1981. At the age of 8, she made her acting debut in a minor role in the television series "MacGyver" (1989). Over the next few years, she continued to appear in small roles in films and television series, such as "Cold Front" (1989), "Trading Mom" (1989), "The Last Winter" (1989), "Bridge of Time" (1990), "Children of Dust" (1995), "Flirting with Danger" (1996), and "Married to a Stranger" (1997).

Breakthrough Roles

Isabel's career took a significant turn in 1998 when she played Lindsay Clark in the film "Disturbing Behavior" (1998), co-starring Katie Holmes, James Marsden, and Nick Stahl. In 2000, she gained wider recognition for her role in the horror film "Ginger Snaps" (2000), directed by John Fawcett. The film follows two sisters who, while filming an amateur horror movie, are attacked by a monstrous creature. The film's success established Isabel as a rising star in the horror genre.
