Childhood and Early Life

Catherine Hahn was born on July 23, 1973, in Westchester, Illinois. She grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, where she attended Beaumont School and later graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre from Northwestern University. She then obtained her Master's degree in Drama from Yale University.

Acting Career

Hahn began her acting career with a recurring role in the sketch comedy show "Hickory Hideout" as a teenager. Her breakthrough came in 2001 when she landed the role of Lily Lebowski in the crime drama series "Crossing Jordan."

In the years that followed, Hahn became known for her comedic roles in films such as "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days," "Step Brothers," "Our Idiot Brother," and the sitcom "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." She also appeared in more dramatic roles, such as Millie Campbell in "Revolutionary Road" and in the erotically-charged drama "Afternoon Delight," which Quentin Tarantino named one of the best films of 2013.

Hahn received critical acclaim for her performance in Tamara Jenkins' drama "Private Life" in 2018. In recent years, she has explored her dramatic potential further with roles in the miniseries "Mrs. Fletcher" and "I Know This Much Is True," where she played the ex-wife of one of Mark Ruffalo's characters.

Disney+ Projects

In 2021, Hahn gained widespread recognition for her role as Agatha Harkness in the Disney+ miniseries "WandaVision." She also appeared in the dramedy series "The Shrink Next Door" and the film "Knives Out 2" that same year.
