Kathrine Rosenthal, a Danish actress renowned for her performances in dramas and crime thrillers, was born on September 19, 1985, in the conservative suburb of Gentofte, Copenhagen. Her father, Finn Rosenthal, was an entrepreneur. Kathrine has a younger brother, Nikolaj, who is a professional hockey player. Both siblings share Jewish heritage.
Education and Early Career
From 2008 to 2012, Rosenthal honed her craft at the Danish National School of Performing Arts, where her classmates included fellow stars Danica Curcic and Mikkel Boe Følsgaard. Her acting debut came in the 16-minute drama "Tilstand" (2011).
Breakthrough and Notable Roles
Rosenthal's career flourished in 2014 with roles in the dark fantasy series "Heartless" and the crime thriller "The Mystery of Mr. Wong." She gained international recognition for her portrayal of Ellis, the deceased wife of the Danish detective Henrik Sabroe, in season 3 of the acclaimed series "The Bridge" (2015).
