Henryk Czyż
Early Life and EducationHenryk Czyż was a Polish conductor who was born in Poland. He completed his musical studies at the Music Lyceum in Katowice and graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory in 1955, where he studied piano.
Conducting Career
Krakow Musical Theater (1962-1969)Czyż became the director of the Krakow Musical Theater from 1962 to 1969. During his tenure, he oversaw approximately 30 premieres.
Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice (1969-1973)
From 1969 to 1973, Czyż led the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice.
Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra (1977-2001)
Czyż served as the music director of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra from 1977 to 2001.
