Biography of Keith Allen

Keith Allen is a Welsh actor, comedian, musician, singer, songwriter, writer, and television presenter. He is best known for being the father of singer Lily Allen and actor Alfie Owen-Allen. Keith was born in Gorseinon, Swansea, Wales. His father, Edward Charles Owen, was a Royal Navy submariner. He spent his early years in Swansea, Malta, and Gosport.

Keith attended a school in Essex at the age of 11 but was expelled at 13. At 15, he was sent to a juvenile detention center for theft, which he claimed to have enjoyed. In the 1970s, Keith had several jobs, including working as a stagehand, but was fired for appearing nude on stage during a performance by Max Bygraves' choir.

Keith found success as a comedian and performed as an opening act for popular rock bands like The Clash. In the 1980s, he appeared in the Channel 4 series "The Comic Strip Presents..." and hosted his own comedy show called "I Love Keith Allen" on Galaxy channel. In 1993, he appeared in an episode of "Inspector Morse" with a script written by Danny Boyle. This episode marked the beginning of a collaboration between Allen and Boyle, who either directed or wrote three projects in the 90s.

In 1994, Keith starred in Danny Boyle's thriller "Shallow Grave." The same year, he received critical acclaim for his role in the stage production of "Martin Chuzzlewit." In 1996, he appeared in Boyle's film "Trainspotting" and played a similar character to his role in "Shallow Grave." In 2000, Keith performed in two Harold Pinter plays at Almeida Theatre.

In 2011, Keith premiered a documentary about the death of Princess Diana at the Cannes Film Festival. The film was fully funded by Mohamed Al-Fayed. In addition to his acting and comedy career, Keith has been involved in music. He was a member of the punk band "Atoms" in the late 70s and later joined "Fat Les." Keith collaborated with "New Order" and wrote their hit single "World In Motion," which reached number one on the UK charts.

Keith is a devoted fan of Fulham Football Club, the oldest London football club. In a 2007 interview on "Top Gear," he claimed to have eight children but later clarified that he has six children with four different women. His most notable children are singer Lily Allen and actor Alfie Owen-Allen, whom he had with his first wife, Alison Owen. Keith was previously married to Nira Park and is currently in a relationship with actress Tamzin Malleson, with whom he has a daughter named Teddie.
