Early Life and College Career
Marcus Langford, an American basketball player, was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He played college basketball for the University of Kansas Jayhawks from 2001 to 2005, averaging 10.5 points per game.
NBA and International Career
After graduating from college, Langford played 71 games in the NBA Development League, primarily with the Austin Toros. He made brief appearances for the San Antonio Spurs in the 2007-2008 season, averaging 2 points and 2 rebounds in two games. During the same season, he also played for Pallacanestro Biella in Italy.
European Success
In the 2008-2009 season, Langford joined Virtus Bologna in Italy. He led the team to victory in the FIBA EuroChallenge, the third-tier European club competition, and was named the Final Four MVP.
Return to Russia and Success
In July 2009, Langford signed a two-year contract worth $2.6 million with BC Khimki in Russia. He helped the team reach the finals of the Italian Cup in 2009 and won the Russian Championship silver medal in 2009-2010.
