Early Life and CareerBorn Kelly Chemane Packard on January 29, 1975, in Glendale, California, Packard grew up in Arizona before moving to Canyon Country, California. Her journey into entertainment began at the tender age of eight with commercials, leading to her crowning as Miss California Teenager in 1988. Packard transitioned from advertisements to television series, initially appearing in episodic roles in "The Wonder Years," "Boy Meets World," "Step by Step," and "Living Dolls."
Breakthrough with 'Baywatch' and Beyond
Her breakout role came as the fashionable lifeguard April in "Baywatch" for two seasons. Prior to that, Packard had starred as Tiffany in the popular NBC teen drama "California Dreams." Packard's diverse career also included becoming the star of the arcade video game "Kelly Packard's Golden Cue" and hosting "Secret Beaches" for the Travel Channel.
Contest Success and Commercial Endorsements
Beyond acting, Packard has participated in various shows and projects. As a child, she appeared on "Card Sharks" during "Kids Week" and won $3,200. She also featured in commercials for Billy Blanks' Tae-Bo and Gripping Eyewear Trucolor sunglasses.
Personal Life and Church Involvement
As a teenager, Packard converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized into the Mormon faith. In 1997, she married Darrin Privett, and they welcomed their daughter, Aubrey Lynn, on April 6, 2004.
'GSN Live' Co-Hosting and Departure
Packard became a co-host of a new segment on "GSN Live" in September of last year. However, she left the show in November 2008 to pursue other projects.
