Kenneth Bramley's Biography
Kenneth Bramley, born in 1968, is known as one of the heaviest people in the world, with a maximum weight of 468 kg. Before the age of 20, Bramley was an active American boy, participating in sports such as American football, basketball, and baseball. However, when he moved to California at the age of 19, he stopped engaging in physical activities, which marked the beginning of his obesity journey.

At some point, Bramley's health deteriorated, and he became bedridden. Despite his condition, he continued to eat, never lacking an appetite, especially for fast food and fatty, sugary meals. At this time, Bramley was married with children. It became evident that he needed help as his weight became unmanageable. The challenge then arose of how to transport him to the hospital. Eventually, firefighters came to his aid, dismantling a part of his house's wall to rescue him along with his bed. Bramley was then admitted to the Renaissance Hospital in Houston.

Upon his arrival at the hospital, Bramley couldn't stand due to the growth of massive fatty masses on the inner sides of both legs, a result of prolonged immobility. The first step for the doctors was to remove these grotesque growths, one of which weighed nearly 20 kg.
Patients like Bramley face numerous challenges in their lives. Being unable to move independently, they are unable to shower or use the toilet. The care required for such patients goes beyond medical assistance. Bramley's transportation to the hospital and the doctors' efforts are documented in the film "Half Ton Dad."
It was discovered that Bramley's daily diet consisted of a staggering 30,000 calories. In the Houston hospital, his caloric intake was immediately reduced to 2,000 calories per day, and later to 1,200 calories. After 40 days, he lost 76 kg.
It was at the hospital that Bramley stood on his own feet for the first time in four years. Although mobility was still far away, he managed to stand for several minutes each day.
Although Bramley did not become a weight loss record holder, he returned home, and his future went beyond the scope of the television project. However, the documentary about his life served as a warning to millions of American viewers who do not consider their eating habits and regularly consume fast food.
