Early Career and Ajax Debut

Kennet Vermeer is a Dutch football goalkeeper who currently plays for AFC Ajax in Amsterdam. He is a product of Ajax's youth academy. Vermeer made his debut for Ajax on September 28, 2006, in a UEFA Cup match against Norwegian club Start. He came on as a substitute in the 46th minute for regular goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, helping Ajax secure a 4-0 victory.

Loan to Willem II

In 2007, Vermeer was loaned out to Willem II. However, he served as the team's third-choice goalkeeper and only made seven appearances. After completing his loan spell, he returned to Ajax in 2008.

International Career

Vermeer represented the Netherlands at the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where his team reached the quarterfinals before losing to Nigeria in a penalty shootout. He also played for the Netherlands U-21 team in the 2006 and 2007 UEFA European Championships, winning both tournaments with the squad.
