Early Life and Club Career
Gianluigi Donnarumma, nicknamed "Gigio," is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for AC Milan and the Italy national team. He began his footballing journey in the Milan youth system before making his debut for the senior side in 2015.

On October 25th, 2015, Donnarumma became the youngest goalkeeper to play in the Italian top flight when he started against Sassuolo. He kept a clean sheet in his second Serie A match against Chievo, further solidifying his place in the team.

Despite his age, Donnarumma quickly established himself as Milan's first-choice goalkeeper, replacing the inconsistent Diego Lopez. He played a crucial role in Milan's victory in the 2015-2016 Italian Super Cup, saving a penalty from Paulo Dybala in the shootout.
Record-Breaking Achievements
In the 2016-2017 season, Donnarumma became the only Milan player to start in all 41 games. He played in 38 Serie A matches, two Coppa Italia matches, and the 2016 Italian Super Cup.
His exceptional performances earned him a contract extension with Milan in July 2017. The new deal kept him at the club until 2021 and included a reported release clause of 70-80 million euros.
International Recognition
Donnarumma represented Italy at the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. In August 2016, he became the youngest player to be called up to the senior national team in 105 years.
He made his debut for the Azzurri in a friendly against France, replacing the legendary Gianluigi Buffon at halftime. Donnarumma continues to be a regular member of the Italian squad and has made over 50 appearances to date.
