Chasing his dream, Chamberlin attended auditions whenever possible, despite his size, which often typecast him as dumb brutes or lovable big guys hopelessly in love with the leading lady. Frustrated with playing minor roles, Chamberlin temporarily left theater and joined the wrestling team, but his passion for acting was too strong. He eventually abandoned sports and pursued a career in theater.
