Early Life and Education:Kevin Durand was born on January 14, 1974, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. He attended St. Ignatius High School and is fluent in both English and French.
Acting Career:
1990sDurand began his acting career in 1994. He often portrays sharp-tongued, antagonistic characters, such as criminals, mercenaries, and thugs. In 1999, he made notable appearances as Zipacna in "Stargate SG-1" and in "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me."
2000s
During the 2000s, Durand starred in numerous television series, including "ER," "The Outer Limits," "Andromeda," "Dark Angel," "Dead Like Me," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Kyle XY," and "CSI: Miami." He also gained recognition for his film roles in "The Butterfly Effect" and "Walking Tall."
In 2008, Durand joined the cast of "Lost" as the formidable mercenary Martin Keamy. His character appeared in the fourth season and departed that same season. He later returned for two guest appearances. In 2009, he portrayed Fred J. Dukes in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

Durand continued his film successes in the 2010s, starring in "Legion" and "Robin Hood." In 2011, he appeared in "I Am Number Four" and "Real Steel." He played prominent roles in "Cosmopolis" and "Resident Evil: Retribution" in 2012.
