Kevin Mark DuBrow was an American rock musician and vocalist. He was born in California in 1955 and displayed his love for rock music from a young age. At the age of 11, he formed his first band, although the audience for the new group was not extensive.

In 1975, DuBrow crossed paths with guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni, who were looking for a frontman for their band, 'Quiet Riot'. The band performed live shows for some time, but had less luck with recording their own material. However, they managed to release their first vinyl album, 'Quiet Riot I', on the Japanese label 'CBS/Sony'. Slowly but surely, they gained recognition and soon became one of the main popularizers of heavy metal in the United States, alongside 'Van Halen'.

In 1983, their historic album 'Metal Health' was released, featuring hits such as 'Metal Health (Bang Your Head)' and a cover version of 'Cum on Feel the Noize' by 'Slade'. DuBrow's vocals and songwriting skills secured him a place among the world's best rock vocalists. However, the band's fame was short-lived, and they found themselves on the brink of collapse just five years after the release of their most famous album.

Internal conflicts within the band, exacerbated by DuBrow's alcohol and drug dependency, led to his expulsion from 'Quiet Riot'. Despite this setback, DuBrow continued to pursue his musical career. He released the album 'Hear 'n Aid 'Stars' in 1985, although it did not achieve the same level of success as his previous work. He also worked on a project called 'Heat', which was later renamed 'Quiet Riot' after the original lineup disbanded.

'Quiet Riot' continued to perform with varying degrees of success until 2003, when they officially disbanded. However, the band made a comeback in 2005, capitalizing on the renewed interest in 80s rock music. They toured extensively and added a new album titled 'Rehab' to their discography.

On November 25, 2007, Kevin DuBrow was found dead in his Las Vegas home at the age of 52. Initially, the cause of his death was unclear, although no signs of violence were found. It was later officially announced that he died from a drug overdose. Despite claiming to be drug-free for many years, DuBrow's untimely death shocked his fans and marked a tragic event in the history of heavy metal.
