The Poisoned Yoga Ball
Using his skills as an anesthesiologist, Kho surreptitiously obtained CO and filled two yoga balls with the deadly gas. Colleagues witnessed his unusual behavior, raising suspicions about his true intentions. Kho dismissed their concerns, claiming he was conducting experiments to test the gas for impurities and expose rabbits to its effects.
The Fatal Drive
On May 22, 2015, Kho placed one of the poisoned yoga balls in the trunk of his wife's car. His 16-year-old daughter accompanied her mother in the passenger seat. According to the prosecution, Kho knew his daughter would be in the car that day despite her absence from school.
Discovery and Investigation
A passerby noticed the lifeless bodies of Kho's wife and daughter in their parked car and alerted the authorities. An autopsy revealed that they had died from CO poisoning. Police officers discovered a deflated yoga ball in the trunk, raising suspicions of foul play.
A Web of Deception
