National Success
Ree took second place in the Dutch National Championships in 1969 and 1980, and third place in 1970, 1972, and 1983. His impressive performance in these tournaments reflects his exceptional abilities at the national level.
International Competitions
Ree actively participated in eight Chess Olympiads with the Netherlands national team between 1960 and 1980. He delivered memorable performances, notably securing first place on the fourth board at the 17th Olympiad in Havana (1966) and third place on the third board at the 19th Olympiad in Siegen (1970). In 1980, he achieved second place on the fourth board at the 24th Olympiad in Valletta.
