Biography of Kim Chizevsky

Kim Chizevsky, born in 1968 in Mattoon, Illinois, spent her childhood in Decatur, in the same state. She was a sports star in school, playing volleyball and basketball, being a cheerleader, and setting school records in short distance running and long jump. After high school, she attended Southern Illinois University, where she discovered her passion for dancing and aerobics. A couple of years later, she found bodybuilding and began working tirelessly on her own physique.

Kim Chizevsky made her debut in the bodybuilding world at the Illinois Tri-State Bodybuilding competition in 1989, effortlessly securing the second place. Shortly after, she won the AAU Illinois competition. Within three years, she turned professional, and her life changed dramatically. Kim proudly embraced her sport and her impressive physique, setting her sights on becoming the best of the best. She looked up to Lenda Murray, also known as the Black Panther, who inspired her.

After triumphing in her home state of Illinois, Kim set out to conquer America. In 1992, she emerged victorious at the IFBB North American Championships, and in 1993, she celebrated a truly great victory – the Ms. International title. However, Ms. Olympia eluded her at that time, as she finished in fifth place.

She came close to the coveted title in 1995, but ultimately took second place. However, the year 1996 became a true triumph for Kim Chizevsky. She became the undisputed queen of bodybuilding, winning both the Miss Olympia and Miss International titles. She successfully defended her Ms. Olympia title for three consecutive years, from 1997 to 1999. After her final victory in 1999, she decided to step away from competitions and pave the way for new stars.

Legacy and Personal Life

Even after retiring from the competitive stage, Kim Chizevsky remained undefeated in the hearts of her numerous fans. She was hailed as one of the brightest stars in the realm of female bodybuilding. In January 2008, she was ceremoniously inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame.

In her personal life, Kim is married to Chad Nicholls, a nutritionist and personal consultant and trainer. They have two children together. The family resides in Springfield, Missouri.

After leaving the competitive world, Kim enjoyed relaxing and no longer adhered to strict diets. She maintains her fantastic shape, but now allows herself to be less demanding. In one of her interviews, she said, "I enjoyed bodybuilding, conducting seminars, and promoting a healthy lifestyle, but I never enjoyed dieting. Training to exhaustion every day was also a small pleasure. In short, such efforts should be justly rewarded."
