Early Life and Dance Beginnings

Kimberly Wyatt was born in Warrensburg, Missouri, in a university town near Kansas City. Her father worked as a truck driver, and her mother traveled with him. Before pursuing dance, Kimberly was interested in basketball, tee-ball, and was a member of a girls' scouting organization. However, at the age of seven, she started dancing, and by the age of fourteen, she had received a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School in New York and the Broadway Dance Center.

Career in Dance and 'Pussycat Dolls'

At seventeen, Kimberly graduated from high school and moved to Las Vegas to audition for shows in casinos and cruise liners. During her time working on the 'Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas,' she had the opportunity to visit most of Southern Europe. In 2001, she relocated to Los Angeles to continue pursuing her dance career, despite turning down an interesting offer from the 'Hubbard St. Dance Company in Chicago.'

In 2002, Kimberly joined the team of dancers for the comedy sketch show 'Cedric the Entertainer Presents.' In 2003, she participated in the music video for the Black Eyed Peas' song 'Shut Up' alongside her fellow 'Pussycat Dolls' member, Carmit Bachar. It was during the filming of this video that choreographer Robin Antin, the founder of 'Pussycat Dolls,' noticed Kimberly and invited her to join the group. Like her bandmates, Kimberly is also signed to Interscope Records.

Signature Dance Move and Television Work

Kimberly is best known for her signature dance move, the splits, which can be seen in almost all of the group's music videos. She has mentioned in an interview with 'Loose Women' that this move has become her trademark and that her leg has become somewhat of a celebrity on its own.

Since January 3, 2010, Kimberly has been working as a judge on the reality show 'Got To Dance' alongside Ashley Banjo and Adam Garcia. She also had her first vocal part for the 'Pussycat Dolls' when she recorded the solo song 'Don't Wanna Fall in Love' for one of the releases of the group's second album, 'Doll Domination.'

Solo Career and Personal Life

Currently, Kimberly is focused on her first solo album, which she confided to the agents of the website 'Digital Spy.' She revealed that she is collaborating with Missy Elliott, and rappers Paul Wall and Baby Bash have already contributed to the album. Kimberly spends a lot of time in the studio, as she wants to record even more than she has already done. She has always loved electronic music, and this fact will be evident when the album is finally released. While Missy Elliott has not confirmed her involvement yet, negotiations with her are actively taking place.

Kimberly resides in Los Angeles, California. Apart from her music career, she is actively involved in charity work, particularly supporting RAINN, an organization that fights against sexual crimes. She also maintains her own blog, 'Wonderful Movements,' on the website 'DipDive,' where she shares her emotional experiences through videos, messages, and photos. Additionally, Kimberly is currently working on launching an online store that sells clothing and a series of cosmetic products for beauty and body care.
