Early Life and Dance Training
Born in 1985 to a Colombian mother and a Spanish father, Francisco Gomez found his passion for dance at the tender age of 11. He honed his skills in jazz, tap, and musical theater at Westminster School and later at Sylvia Young Theatre School and Pineapple Performing Art School. His first trip to Los Angeles and New York at age 16 ignited his dance career.
Break into the Dance Industry
Joining the Hip Hop Culture Shock company proved to be a pivotal moment. Gomez invested every penny he had into training, traveling, and collaborating with renowned choreographers. He expanded his repertoire in Europe, studying jazz and hip-hop. As the youngest member of Bounce - Street Dance Sensation, Gomez gained industry recognition.
Rise to Fame
From 2003 to 2009, Gomez served as artistic director of dance 2x in London, nurturing the talent of dancers from various styles. His judging role in "So You Think You Can Dance" Ukraine for seven seasons and the UK version further raised his profile.
Notable Collaborations and Achievements
Gomez has choreographed for a star-studded list of artists, including Paula Abdul, Sugababes, Kylie Minogue, Madonna, and Jennifer Lopez. He was the artistic director and choreographer for "All Night Long UK Tour" and worked as a choreographer for "X-Factor" UK and "The Voice" UK.
Recognition and Awards
His exceptional talent earned him the "Best New Choreographer" award at Carnival Choreographer's Ball UK in 2005.
