Konstantin Partmer: A Prominent Pharmacist and Civic Leader

Konstantin Partmer was a distinguished figure in the pharmaceutical and civic life of Penza. Having graduated from Moscow University in 1877, he pursued a career in pharmacy.

Pharmaceutical Endeavors

In 1883, Partmer established his own pharmacy in Penza, which later relocated to his own residence on Moscow Street in 1899. It now operates as Pharmacy No. 1. Notably, Partmer also owned an apothecary shop, a chemical-microscopic and bacteriological laboratory, and a facility for producing artificial mineral waters, fruit and berry essences, migraine pencils, soap, creolin, and Vaseline.

Civic Involvement

Partmer was deeply engaged in civic affairs. He served as director of the prison care committee, member of the accounting and lending committee of the State Bank branch, city council member, trustee of the 2nd city primary school for boys, and member of the board of trustees of the women's progymnasium. Additionally, he held the position of chairman of the church council at the Lutheran church.

Philanthropic Contributions

Partmer actively supported charitable causes, extending his assistance to the Alexandrian Orphanage, Tatishchev School, and local prisons. His generosity and community spirit left an enduring legacy on the city of Penza.
