Early Life and Family
Born on April 20, 1984, in Lappeenranta, Finland, Koop's upbringing was influenced by his Flemish mother and Finnish father. In 1986, the family relocated to Belgium and later to London, England.
Musical Beginnings
At the tender age of five, Koop began playing the piano, continuing until the age of 11. In 2000, he resumed playing and composing music. His passion for music also extended to the guitar, which he learned during military service in Finland.
London Years
After completing his military service, Koop returned to London to pursue a degree in Creative Music Technology with Business Management at the University of Hull's Scarborough campus. To support his studies, he played gigs in pubs and worked on construction sites.
Finnish Success: Pop Idol and Beyond
In 2008, Koop returned to Finland and triumphed in the Finnish version of Pop Idol. This victory launched his music career, leading to the release of several albums.
Flute of Shame
