The Crimson Shore: A Blend of Genres and Talents

The alternative group, The Crimson Shore, is a vibrant and eclectic mix of romantic folk, tongue-in-cheek country, raw blues, and energetic rock 'n' roll.

The Genesis of a Musical Partnership

The band's journey began with a fateful encounter between Pavel Zagorsky, a second-year vocal student at the conservatory, and Alexander Okhotin, an instructor of viola at the same institution. Their first performance took place on Friday, August 13, 1999, at the "501" bar. This successful debut led to a series of concerts at the "New York Times" bar.

A Regular Fixture in the Live Music Scene

Today, The Crimson Shore is a consistently performing band, performing approximately 20 shows per month in popular city bars and at concert venues in Novosibirsk and neighboring cities. Their repertoire includes both covers of renowned international and domestic artists, as well as their own original compositions.

A Unique Blend of Sounds

The band's style is characterized by its eclecticism, seamlessly blending romantic folk, ironic country, raw blues, and energetic rock 'n' roll. They jokingly describe their music as "music of the Soviet romantic era with elements of foreign bourgeois ideology."

A Touch of Originality

Despite their affinity for "foreign ideology," the band has recorded their own album in Russian, entitled "Where the Night Ends..." Over the years, the band's lineup has evolved, but today it consists of five talented musicians:

- Alexander Okhotin: Solo guitar, viola, saxophone, forged blues vocals

- Pavel Zagorsky: Keyboards, vocals, conversational genre

- Oleg Chernyshov: Vocals, acoustic guitar
- Andrey Shepelev: Bass guitar, contrabass, vocals
- Dmitry Dedukhin: Drums
A Future of Innovation

The Crimson Shore is currently working on a new solo program and album, featuring original songs and cover versions of their most popular live performances.
