Early Life and Influence

Born in Mexico City, Cris Goyri developed a passion for the arts, particularly bright colors and patterns, at an early age. His fascination with fashion led him to pursue studies at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores en Moda in 2007, where he honed his design skills and developed a unique aesthetic.

Kickstarting a Fashion Career

Goyri's career began in the ready-to-wear industry, providing him with hands-on experience in the business side of fashion and the nuances of fabrics. In 2008, he was recognized as the "Nuevo Talento Mexicano" by the international jury of Elle magazine and held his first fashion show, gaining significant attention from major fashion publications.

Education and International Exposure

In pursuit of further education, Goyri moved to Barcelona in 2009 to earn a master's degree in footwear and accessories design from the European Institute of Design. This provided him with valuable knowledge in design principles, color theory, and collection planning. Upon his return to Mexico, he showcased his debut fashion project, "Riviera 1.1."

Contemporary Career and Collaborations

Goyri's designs have earned him recognition as a talented designer with an intuitive understanding of the female form. He has launched several solo projects and collaborated with other creatives. In 2010, he contributed to the launch of the "Palacio di Hierro" collection. Goyri also collaborated with Barbara Berger on a jewelry exhibition in 2011 and designed a series of paper masks and costumes for the Museo de Artes Decorativas in Mexico City.

Creative Partnerships and Innovation

Goyri continued his creative collaborations into 2012, partnering with MAC Cosmetics to create unique makeup looks for runway shows. Together with Comex, he launched a special spring-summer collection. He also served as creative director for Pineda Covalin, creating a distinctive menswear and womenswear collection. In late 2012, Goyri unveiled his spring-summer 2013 collection, followed by his debut fall/winter collection in March 2013.
