Biography of Kris Jenner

Kris Jenner, born Kristen Mary Houghton on November 5, 1955, in San Diego, California, is a socialite and businesswoman. She is best known for being the mother of Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe Kardashian, popular television personalities and models. Kris is currently managing the careers of her daughters and also helps her husband, Bruce Jenner, with his business ventures.

Early Life and Marriage to Robert Kardashian

In her younger years, Kris worked as a flight attendant. In 1978, she met famous attorney Robert Kardashian, known for his involvement in the O.J. Simpson trial. They got married in July 1978 and had four children together: Kourtney (born April 18, 1979), Kim (born October 21, 1980), Khloe (born June 27, 1984), and Robert Kardashian Jr. (born March 17, 1987).

However, by the late 1980s, their marriage started to fall apart, and unable to overcome their marital difficulties, Kris filed for divorce in 1990. Around the same time, Kris began a relationship with Olympic champion and businessman Bruce Jenner. Before proposing to Kris, Bruce had conversations with her ex-husband to establish a friendly relationship, as he wanted to prioritize the happiness of the children involved. Both men were able to settle any issues peacefully, and they speak positively of each other to this day.

Marriage to Bruce Jenner and Expanding the Family

Kris and Bruce got married in 1991. Their new union was particularly challenging for Kris' oldest daughter, Kourtney, who expressed her discomfort by exclusively wearing black clothing during the first year of their marriage. In 1995, Kris and Bruce were blessed with another child, son Kendall, despite Kris' age and the slim chances of conceiving. Two years later, on August 10, 1997, they welcomed their youngest daughter, Kylie.

Additionally, Kris was involved in raising Bruce's children from his previous marriages, including son Burt and daughter Casey from his first marriage, as well as sons Brody and Brandon from his second marriage.

Current Ventures

Currently, Kris works as a manager for her daughters Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe. She also assists her husband Bruce with his business endeavors. In Calabasas, California, Kris opened a children's store called "Smooch," located near her daughter's store, "D-A-S-H." Kris and Kourtney jointly oversee the operations of these stores, as Kourtney was able to forgive her mother for the divorce from her father.
