Kurt Yeager, born on January 3, 1977, in San Francisco, California, is an American actor, model, director, and BMX biker. He started his career as a professional motocross racer in the BMX discipline, which eventually led him to become an actor for Nickelodeon and Clear Channel Communications. His incredible tricks and stunts of varying levels of difficulty were featured in the TV series "Rocket Power," where he traveled to 40 cities across the United States for filming.

Yeager also appeared in several television shows such as "General Hospital," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Without a Trace," and "Sons of Anarchy." He was also offered roles in movies such as "Tenderloin," "Camel Spiders," "Dolphin Tale," "War Flowers," "Piranhaconda," and "Knife Fight." Throughout his career, Yeager accumulated numerous injuries and bruises from his bike rides. In 2006, after considering taking a break from BMX racing to pursue a degree in hydrogeology, he was involved in a severe accident that resulted in the amputation of his left leg below the knee.

Despite the devastating injuries sustained in the accident, Yeager managed to fully recover within 12 months. Instead of being known as "Lom," his nickname before the accident, he earned the nickname "Captain Crutch" and returned to his previous activities.

During his journey to recovery, Yeager experienced immense love and support from his family and friends. They helped him regain his confidence, wrote encouraging notes, stayed by his side at night, and fundraised for his medical treatment. His father played a significant role in inspiring Yeager with his commitment to his word and honesty, which helped Kurt navigate through the challenging process of hospitalization and rehabilitation.

After the accident, Yeager found the strength to get back on his bike and continue thrilling audiences with his breathtaking tricks. He was invited to play the lead role in the music video for the song "Waiting All Night" by the English quartet Rudimental. The director of the video was impressed by Kurt's life story and assured him that every detail would be carefully planned, fulfilling all of Kurt's wishes.

Yeager has also appeared in the new drama "Quarry" directed by John Hillcoat, set to release in 2014. Today, he eagerly awaits the opportunity to immerse himself in new film projects. His ultimate goal is to become the first amputee to jump on the ramp. He would also be interested in working in the United Kingdom, where he believes the most successful TV projects are created.

One of the most challenging moments during Kurt's recovery was giving up morphine. Although painkillers provided relief, they left him in a foggy state of mind. After spending several sleepless nights without morphine, he nearly lost his sanity from the pain. Fortunately, a friend arrived at the crucial moment and convinced him to take the medication again. After a much-needed rest, Yeager regained his determination for a better future.
