Director of the Satversme Protection Bureau (1995-2003)

Jānis Kažociņš served as the Director of the Satversme Protection Bureau, Latvia's national security and intelligence service, from 1995 to 2003. During his tenure, he oversaw the agency's efforts to protect the country's national security and intelligence interests.

Parliamentary Career

Prior to his appointment as Director, Kažociņš was a member of the Latvian Parliament, the Saeima. He served as a deputy in the 5th Saeima and was a member of the National Security Commission.
