Lisa: The Rising Star of K-Pop

Early Life and Dance Roots

Lalisa Manoban, known as Lisa, was born on March 27, 1997, in Bangkok, Thailand. Her passion for dance ignited early on, and she joined a dance crew called "We Zaa Cool" with her childhood friend BamBam of GOT7. Together, they auditioned for LG's "JYP Thailand Audition" program in 2009, where their crew placed second. While BamBam won a month-long training stint at JYP, Lisa's chance came in 2011 when YG Entertainment held its first audition in Thailand. Her dance video propelled her into the top 30, making her the first foreign trainee in the company's history.

Pre-Debut Activities and Modeling

In 2012, Lisa featured in the video "Who's That Girl?" by Taeyang. She also appeared in Taeyang's music video "Ringa Linga" in 2014. Alongside B.I and BOBBY of iKON, Lisa modeled for YG's streetwear brand "NONA9ON" and Samsung C & T Fashion.

Debut with BLACKPINK

On June 8, 2016, Lisa was unveiled as a member of BLACKPINK, the first girl group from YG Entertainment since 2NE1's debut in 2009. In the absence of an official leader, Lisa took on the roles of main dancer, lead rapper, and maknae. BLACKPINK's debut on August 8, 2016, with the single albums "Square One" and "Square Two" marked a significant milestone in Lisa's career.

Television and Variety Shows

In 2018, Lisa became a regular cast member on the military entertainment show "Real Man 300," showcasing her determination and charisma. Her performance earned her the unofficial title of "Character of the Year" at the MBC Entertainment Awards. The same year, she launched her YouTube channel, Lilifilm Official, which has garnered over 1.3 million subscribers.

Youth With You and Global Recognition

In March 2020, Lisa joined the survival show "Youth With You Season 2" in China as a dance mentor. Her expertise and mentorship skills were highly praised. Lisa's influence and popularity extended beyond Korea, as she won the Mwave poll for "Which Girl Group Member Is Your New Love?" in 2016. In 2018, she received the "Person of the Year" award in Thailand.

Brand Endorsements and Global Ambassadorship

Lisa has partnered with numerous brands throughout her career. In 2019, she became the muse for the luxury brand Celine and the brand ambassador for AIS Thailand and Penshoppe. She later became the face of Moonshot cosmetics in Korea and Bulgari in Korea. In 2020, she achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first and only global ambassador of Celine and a global ambassador for MAC.

Philanthropy and Charitable Work

Lisa has demonstrated her compassion through various charitable efforts. In 2019, she donated 40 million won with her BLACKPINK members to the Hope Bridge Association and donated 100,000 baht to flood victims in Thailand. Lisa and her mother also supported the "Let's be Heroes Concert foundation" to launch a mobile medical unit for underprivileged heart disease patients.
