Lane Garrison (born May 23, 1980 in Dallas, Texas, USA) is an American actor known for his roles in films such as "Quality of Life" (2004), "Prison Break" (2005), "Crazy" (2006), and "Shooter" (2007).

Chasing the Dream in Hollywood

Lane Garrison set out to conquer Hollywood immediately after finishing high school. "My friends threw me a farewell party, thinking I was crazy for not going to college," recalls Lane, reminiscing about how he headed to Hollywood with only $400 in his pocket. While in high school, he attended acting classes but dedicated most of his free time to football and wrestling. Despite not having much experience in theater, Lane always knew that acting was his true passion.

Overcoming Personal Tragedy

Lane's journey to success was not without its hardships. His mother, Lisa, passed away in 2000, followed by the death of his father, Lee, in 2004. In their memory, he got a tattoo on his left shoulder. "Returning home brings back a lot of memories. It's great to be home, but at the same time, it's very difficult. That's why I try to distract myself with work," he says. Lane's resilience serves as a shining example that anything is possible in life. "I am living proof to many children that if you have a dream and you genuinely want to make it come true, you will do whatever it takes. I never had time to participate in various productions, but I always knew that acting was what I sincerely wanted to do."

His Breakthrough Role in "Prison Break"

Before landing the role of Tweener in the TV series "Prison Break," Lane had appeared in only a few films, notably the 2004 release "Quality of Life." However, after his portrayal of Tweener, he quickly became involved in two movies - "Crazy" (2006) and "Shooter" (2007). Lane had seen the pilot episode of "Prison Break" well before it aired and was captivated by the well-written script. He wanted a role in the series that suited him, and luckily, the writers created the character of Tweener and called Lane to audition. He was soon cast in the role. Lane admits that he could relate to his character, as he had a troubled past involving petty theft and encounters with the law. He understood his character's struggle with life and searching for himself on the streets. This role was very personal to him, and he knew his character inside out.

Legal Troubles and Redemption

In May 2007, Lane Garrison was sentenced to three years and four months in prison for an incident that occurred on December 2, 2006. On that day, the actor, under the influence of alcohol, crashed his car into a tree. Two 15-year-old girls and a 17-year-old teenager named Vahagn Setian were also in the car. Sadly, Setian died in the accident. The subsequent investigation revealed that Lane's blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit, and traces of cocaine were also found. He faced a potential sentence of up to six years and eight months, but the court took into account Lane Garrison's remorse and public apologies. According to prison spokesperson John Bartelme, the 28-year-old actor was released early for exemplary behavior. During his incarceration, Garrison received treatment for drug addiction.
