Childhood and Adolescence

Larisa Marsharova was born on August 22, 1978, to a Soviet military officer. Her family settled in Minsk after relocating frequently to various garrisons. From a young age, Larisa aspired to become an actress but, at her mother's request, initially pursued a "practical" profession as a nurse.

A Twist of Fate

Despite her aspirations, Larisa's dream of acting was initially thwarted. The year she graduated from medical school coincided with the entrance examinations to the renowned VGIK film institute in Moscow. However, her parents refused to let her travel to Moscow, prioritizing her upcoming graduation exam.

Nursing and Theatre

After completing her nursing diploma, Larisa spent seven years working in the trauma and orthopedics ward of Minsk City Hospital No. 6. Concurrent with her nursing duties, she enrolled in the Belarusian State Academy of Arts to study acting. During this period, she gained valuable insights into human nature and developed organizational skills.

Breakthrough at Theatre Studio Film Actor

Larisa's passion for acting was reignited after witnessing a performance by Vladimir Gostyukhin and Alla Prolich in the play "My Sweetheart." Upon graduating, she pleaded with Alexander Yefremov, the theater's chief director, to accept her into the troupe. Initially cast in minor roles as maids, Larisa eventually landed leading roles in "Anna Snegina" and "Nameless Star."

Film Debut

Larisa's film debut came at the turn of the century in the feature film "Zorka Lara," where she played the lead role of a nurse struggling with drug addiction. She also appeared in the Belarusian adventure film "Battle of the Five Warriors." Subsequent roles in the acclaimed series "Women in the Game Without Rules" (2004) and "Men Don't Cry" (2004) brought her recognition.

Roles as Healthcare Practitioners

Remarkably, Larisa has often portrayed healthcare professionals on screen. In the detective series "One and Only Forever," she played Nurse Valentina, and in "Blind Happiness," she was cast as Operating Room Nurse Ira. Both series featured Sergei Zhuravel as the head physician.

Notable Television Roles

Larisa has featured in several high-profile television series. Her portrayal of Nina in the detective melodrama "Witch Lake" showcased her talent alongside Anna Banshchikova and Yuri Baturin. In 2022, she played the role of Zoya in the detective drama "Threat Level," starring renowned actors Alexei Kravchenko, Mikhail Gorevoy, and Boris Khvoshnyansky.

Personal Life

Larisa found love with Daniil, a military colleague of her father, whom she met while working at the hospital. Her husband supported her transition from nursing to acting. Together, they have a son named Vlad, born in 1999.

Present and Upcoming Projects
