An Unusual Wedding of Lauren Bushar and Ben Youngkin
American couple Lauren Bushar and Ben Youngkin decided to have a wedding that was far from ordinary. They wanted to entertain their guests and do something unique, so they chose to make a grand entrance by descending on a zip line.
The Extraordinary Couple
Lauren Bushar, 34, and Ben Youngkin, 37, are residents of North Carolina. They have always been known for their eccentricity. Many of Lauren's friends and acquaintances were familiar with her unusual hobby of collecting socks. By the time of their wedding, Lauren had amassed an extensive collection of socks in various colors. In fact, she proudly wore one of her famous rainbow-striped socks, consisting of red, orange, yellow, and blue, on her wedding day.
The Spectacular Entrance
Dressed in their wedding attire, with Lauren wearing a traditional white gown, the couple securely fastened themselves to the zip line. They wanted to surprise their guests, who had no idea what was planned for the wedding ceremony. With a gentle push, the couple glided smoothly towards their future together. From below, their astonished guests marveled at the sight of the groom in his wedding suit and the bride in her white dress and vibrant rainbow socks, seemingly flying through the air towards the altar.
A Brief Delay
At one point during their descent, Ben, who happened to be faster than his bride, had to slow down and wait for Lauren. According to their plan, they were supposed to arrive at the altar simultaneously. Later, while laughing, Lauren revealed that her parachute-like dress ended up slowing down her speed.
A Joyous Celebration
Despite the slight delay, the wedding ceremony took place in front of delighted and amazed guests. The event was filled with vibrant colors, gifts, and, of course, a magnificent wedding cake. After the wedding, the newlyweds went on their honeymoon to Boone, North Carolina, where they planned to enjoy each other's company and play tennis. However, it wouldn't be surprising if Lauren and Ben continued to indulge in their love for zip-lining even after their wedding.
