Ricardo Gomes: Brazilian and Azerbaijani Footballer
Ricardo Gomes is a Brazilian and Azerbaijani footballer who currently plays for the Baku-based club Olimpik. Before arriving in Azerbaijan, he represented the Brazilian clubs Joinville, Goytacaz, and Americano, as well as the Portuguese club Naval 1 de Maio.
International Career
Gomes' debut for the Azerbaijan national team was on September 6, 2006, in Baku, during a UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying match between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Club Career
Gomes' first Azerbaijani club was Baku FC. He went on to achieve success, winning the Azerbaijan Premier League in 2005/2006, the Azerbaijan Cup in 2004/2005, and the Campeonato Pernambucano in 1997. He also won the Campeonato Maranhense in 2010 with Imperatriz.
