Early Life and Education

Alexander Belyavsky was born in Belarus and graduated from Uzda secondary school in 1969. He then enrolled at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow, studying under Professor I.V. Talankin.

Acting Career

After graduating from VGIK in 1973, Belyavsky joined the acting staff of the Belarusfilm studio in Minsk. From 1975 onward, he became a permanent actor at the Gorky Film Studio.

Directing and Screenwriting

In 1983, Belyavsky graduated from the directing department of VGIK, specializing in theatre and film directing. He directed two feature films at the Gorky Film Studio, "Katenka" and "Two on Bare Ground."

Belyavsky also wrote screenplays for films such as "Two on Bare Ground," "White Garments," and "Without the Right to Choice (Kasym)."

Dubbing and Translation

Belyavsky has had a successful career in dubbing foreign films into Russian, both as an actor and director. He has voiced iconic actors such as Mike Myers (Austin Powers), Gary Oldman, and John Travolta.

Television Series

Belyavsky has directed numerous television series, including "White Garments," "Undine-2," "Black Goddess," and "House of Exemplary Content." His most recent series, "Without the Right to Choice (Kasym)," won the 1st prize at the Ukrainian International Festival in 2013.

Personal Life

Belyavsky has been married three times. His first wife, Vera Belokurovich, left Russia in 1991. His second wife, Olga Golovanova, was an actress. His third wife, Svetlana Kruglikova, is a cinematographer.
