Early Life and Education

Soviet librarian, born on February 22, 1932, in Goritsy. In 1948, he enrolled in the Moscow State Institute of Librarianship (MGIBI), graduating in 1953.

Career

After graduation, he relocated to Ukraine and settled in Kharkiv. In 1956, he joined the staff of the Kharkiv State Institute of Librarianship (KharkGBI) as a lecturer. He taught there until 1959, when he returned to his alma mater, MGIBI.

At MGIBI, he taught "Work with Readers" from 1959 to 1976. Despite his short life, he made significant contributions to the field of librarianship.

Research and Publications

His research interests centered on reader classification. He authored numerous scholarly publications and several books on library science.

Death and Legacy

He passed away on January 3, 1977, in Khimki, a few weeks shy of his 45th birthday. His legacy lives on through his research and the impact he had on the profession of librarianship.
