Biography of Letty Aronson
Letty Aronson, born Ellen Letty Konigsberg, is an American film producer and the younger sister of the renowned filmmaker Woody Allen. Born in 1943 in New York City, Letty grew up in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn in a Jewish family. Her parents, Nettie and Martin Konigsberg, emigrated from Russia and Austria to the United States. Despite a seven-year age difference, Letty and her brother Allen Stewart Konigsberg, later known as Woody Allen, spent a significant amount of time together during their childhood.

After completing high school, Letty enrolled at New York University and also studied at Brooklyn College for a period of time. Around the same time, she married Sidney Aronson, the director of a junior school in Brooklyn, with whom she remained married until his death in 2002. Letty made her debut in the film industry in 1994 with the movie "Bullets Over Broadway," directed by her brother. The film received warm critical acclaim, with many praising the mature period of Woody Allen's career. The website Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a rating of 96%.

Letty continued to collaborate with her brother on various films, including "Mighty Aphrodite," which many consider to be one of Woody Allen's most experimental works. The film incorporates characters from ancient Greek mythology, who play their roles according to the conventions of ancient comedy. "Mighty Aphrodite" received positive reviews and was popular among fans of the director.

Gradually, Letty gained recognition in Hollywood and the global film industry not only as the sister of a famous director but also as a talented producer. However, she remained loyal to her family and only collaborated with her brother, who had no intentions of finding another producer. In January 2009, Letty received a Golden Globe Award as a producer for the film "Vicky Cristina Barcelona." The film was one of the most profitable in Woody and Letty's careers, with a budget of $15 million and a box office gross of over $96 million.

Another successful film in Letty's career was "Midnight in Paris" in 2011, which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. The film's brilliant screenplay, written by Woody Allen, contributed to its success. The story follows a young writer who finds himself transported to 1920s Paris, where he encounters famous writers, artists, and musicians.
Letty's recent works include "To Rome with Love" and "Blue Jasmine." As of now, she resides in New York City. Letty has also appeared in a documentary film about the legendary career of her brother, who has shaped the face of American cinema in recent decades.
