Biography of Li Na
Li Na is a Chinese tennis player who prefers to play from the baseline. She considers hard courts as her favorite surface and Miami as her favorite tournament. Li Na has won 7 WTA singles titles and 2 doubles titles. She was a semifinalist in the singles tournament at the 2008 Summer Olympics. In 2011, she became the first Chinese player to win a Grand Slam singles title, winning the Roland Garros tournament. She has also reached the finals of two other Grand Slam tournaments, the Australian Open in 2011 and 2013.

As the first representative of China, Li Na has achieved remarkable rankings in the world of tennis. She first entered the Top 30, then the Top 20, and eventually reached the Top 10. She holds the national record for the highest ranking in singles, reaching the 4th position. Li Na's father, Shengpen, and her mother, Yanpin, raised her as the only child in the family. Unfortunately, her father passed away when Li Na was 14 years old. On January 27, 2006, she married her husband, Jiang Shan.
Li Na started playing tennis at the age of 9, having previously played badminton. She prefers to play from the baseline and considers hard courts as her favorite surface. Her favorite tournament is Miami. Throughout her career, Li Na has been coached by various trainers. Her most notable collaborations were with Swedish coach Thomas Hogstedt and Danish coach Michael Mortensen. In August 2012, it was announced that Carlos Rodriguez, who previously worked with Justine Henin, would become Li Na's new coach.
Besides her tennis skills, Li Na is also fluent in Chinese and English languages.
