Liriel Kolet was born in an Israeli kibbutz to parents Rudi and Danny. The family home was filled with music, as her two brothers, Noam and Omri, were also musicians.

In 2001, Liriel emerged victorious from a prestigious Israeli music competition. This triumph paved the way for her to represent Israel at a European music festival.
