Linda Edna Cardellini, born on June 25, 1975, is an American film and television actress. She first tried her hand at acting at the age of ten when she performed a song in a school play. After the performance, she became seriously interested in the stage and began acting in school productions and attending acting classes. She graduated from high school in 1993. Cardellini received her higher education at Loyola Marymount University, majoring in communication and fine arts. She obtained her degree in theater arts in 2001.

Linda Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine Cardellini (née Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini. She first tried her hand at acting at the age of ten when she performed a song in a school play. Rise to Fame
Cardellini's first major role was as Sara in the ABC Saturday morning series "Bone Chillers" in 1996. She then had guest roles in shows such as "Step by Step," "Clueless," and "3rd Rock from the Sun." One of her most significant roles during this period was Lauren in the show "Boy Meets World," where she became the main star along with her partner. In the summer of 1999, Cardellini toured Europe in the production of "Lancelot," a Dutch tragedy from the 14th century. Her breakthrough came in 1999 when she played one of the lead roles in the NBC series "Freaks and Geeks." Her portrayal of Lindsay Weir, a high school overachiever struggling with an identity crisis, earned Cardellini numerous positive reviews and marked the beginning of her rise to fame.
