Biography of Lindsey Hamon

Lindsey Hamon is a British evangelist and traveler who has been carrying a cross for the past 26 years. Born in 1960, Hamon does not claim the title of the Son of God, but that does not stop him from literally carrying his cross. The massive cedar cross, measuring 4 by 2 meters, was first placed on his shoulders in 1987, and since then, he has never been separated from this unconventional symbol of faith.

Throughout his journey, Hamon has visited 19 countries around the world, facing both warm welcomes and challenges. Despite the hardships, he remains committed to his chosen path. Each day, Hamon carries the cross for up to 12 consecutive hours, relying on the installed wheel on the cross to partially ease the burden. However, even with the wheel, it is difficult to describe the cross as weightless.

Hamon relies heavily on God during his travels and often finds himself unsure of where he will spend the next night. Despite facing persecution in various places, including Bangladesh and St. Peter's Square in Rome, Hamon's true faith acts as a shield. Not even the bullets of Bangladeshi fanatics could deter him from his path.

Hamon has not completely abandoned worldly life. Despite receiving numerous donations from his supporters, he still needs to work to fully support himself and his family. However, after earning a sum of money, he once again embarks on his wanderings.

During his travels, Hamon frequently meets new people. Some take the opportunity to pour out their souls to this seemingly holy man, while others listen to his preaching. Even in countries where the language is unfamiliar to him, the wanderer attracts great interest. He has already visited Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Germany, France, India, Italy, Russia, Poland, and Romania. His journeys are far from over, as Hamon is currently traveling on British roads and plans to visit Latvia and Cambodia in the near future.

Naturally, in his next "international tour," Hamon will bring along his famous cross, which has become a familiar burden for him.
