Julien Brégégère was born into a musical family and began studying the cello and piano at the Nice Conservatory at a young age.

From Cellist to Conductor

At age 13, Brégégère entered the Paris Conservatory as a cellist. Inspired by his passion for conducting, he gradually transitioned to this new specialty.

Early Career and Debut

Victories of Music

In 2001, Brégégère made his conducting debut with the National Orchestra of Pays de la Loire on French television's "Victoires de la Musique" ceremony.

Mentorship and Masterclasses

He formally joined Zoltan Nagy's conducting class in 2002 and also participated in masterclasses led by Peter Eötvös and János Fürst.

International Recognition

Brégégère won the Besançon International Competition for Young Conductors in 2005, earning both the first prize and the audience award.
