Lisa Pritchett-Johnson: A Life of Rock and Tragedy

Lisa Pritchett-Johnson was a close friend of John Entwistle, the bass guitarist of the rock band "The Who." For thirteen years leading up to Entwistle's death in June 2002, friends described her as the embodiment of rock glamour, a woman who lived life to the fullest. Pritchett-Johnson lived with Entwistle in a mansion in the Cotswolds, but tragically passed away from a drug overdose in March 2005 while staying with relatives in America. It was reported that she had recently inherited millions of dollars from Entwistle.

A Life of Excess

There were signs that Pritchett-Johnson's death was a result of an overdose. Among her personal belongings, 1.6 grams of cocaine were found. It remains unknown whether the overdose was accidental or intentional, but it seemed that cocaine had become a habit for her. In late 2003, she was banned from driving for two years after being caught driving John's Rolls-Royce while her blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit. She also received a warning for cocaine possession.

A Tragic Love Story

Pritchett-Johnson's lover, who resided with her in the Stow-on-the-Wold mansion, died from a cocaine-induced heart attack on June 27, 2002. She had expressed her intention to marry him, claiming to sleep with a box containing his ashes. She desperately wanted to meet the stripper who was present at Entwistle's death in 2002, hoping to find solace in learning about his final moments.

A Complicated Grief

After Entwistle's death, Pritchett-Johnson gave interviews to newspapers, surrounded by photographs of her beloved rock star. She spoke to "The Daily Telegraph" about her feelings of loss, saying, "I miss him terribly. I'm going through stages of being angry. I'm going mad from his death. We wanted to grow old together." However, it soon became known that Pritchett-Johnson had started a relationship with Colin Wilson, a married vicar who had conducted Entwistle's funeral. An image of them sharing a "long, passionate kiss" in a pub was published in "News of the World."

Love and Controversy

Pritchett-Johnson called Wilson a "rock 'n' roll vicar" and professed her love for him. However, she later contradicted herself, stating that they were just friends and the kiss was merely a "mutual comfort" as Wilson had recently lost his mother. In response to the scandal, Wilson resigned from his position as a vicar and apologized to his congregation for "losing control." It is claimed that he and his wife reconciled and planned to move to France.

A Tragic End

In Entwistle's will, he instructed that his estate be divided equally between his mother, his son, and Lisa Pritchett-Johnson. However, she was unable to fully appreciate the rocker's gesture, as she tragically passed away in March 2005 in a manner similar to Entwistle himself.
