Biography of Liv Boeree

Liv Boeree is a British model, television personality, and professional poker player. She was born in the county of Kent in 1984 and later moved to London to study astrophysics at the University of Manchester.

Boeree developed a passion for poker when she became one of the top five contestants on the reality show "Ultimatepoker.com Showdown." During the show, she had the opportunity to learn the art of the game from one of the world's best professionals, Phil Hellmuth.

By 2006, Boeree had become a television personality and journalist for "Gutshot TV" at the World Poker Tournament in Las Vegas. Shortly after, she started hosting live broadcasts of the European Poker Tour on Challenge TV and commentating on matches for "Poker Europe" on WorldSeriesofPoker.com.

In addition to her television work, Liv writes a column for "Bluff Europe" magazine and occasionally collaborates with "Gambling Online."

On July 21, 2007, Liv participated in the ITV show "Golden Balls" and reached the final round, where she successfully won over her opponent and took home six and a half thousand pounds sterling. She also appeared in a promotional campaign for the free DVD "Golden Gods" from "Metal Hammer" in September 2008 and wrote a three-page article for "Loaded Magazine" in November of the same year.

Liv's success as a professional poker player began with a seventh-place finish in the Welsh Amateur Poker Championship. She later won first place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, earning nineteen thousand dollars.

Boeree also participated in the first season of the British Poker Gala Tour and the Women's Open Championship. In May 2008, she won the European Women's Championship, receiving thirty thousand dollars.
