Early Career and Club Success
Louanes Gaouaoui emerged from the lower leagues of Algerian football before joining one of Algeria's leading clubs, JS Kabylie, at the age of 22. Over the course of his eight seasons with Kabylie, the goalkeeper won two Algerian Championships and three CAF Cups.
National Team Debut and International Record
Gaouaoui made his international debut for the Algerian national team on December 30, 2001, against Senegal. He has since amassed 49 caps for his country and has been a key member of the squad.
Recent Club Career
After stints with Algerian clubs MC Oran and USM Annaba, Gaouaoui has been the first-choice goalkeeper for ASO Chlef since joining them in 2022.
Major International Tournament Appearances
Gaouaoui has represented Algeria in two African Cup of Nations tournaments (2004 and 2010) and the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
