Early Life and Career

Artur Aleksanyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia. He developed a passion for soccer at the age of 12, despite his parents' opposition and their focus on his academic pursuits. Aleksanyan secretly attended soccer practices, honing his skills at the Pyunik Football School.

Rise to Prominence

In 2000, Aleksanyan signed his first professional contract with Pyunik, and in 2001, he made his debut for the club. He played for Pyunik for several years, winning multiple Armenian Premier League titles, Armenian Cups, and Armenian Super Cups. He also spent time on loan at Gandzasar Kapan from 2004 to 2005.

International Career

Aleksanyan represented Armenia on the national team for the first time in 2004. He made his debut in a friendly match against Hungary and went on to play in several more games. Aleksanyan's last match for Armenia was in 2007, although he was recalled to the team in 2011. He scored his only international goal, an own goal, against Ireland in 2011.

Coaching Career

After retiring from playing in 2014, Aleksanyan became the coach of the Uliss youth team. He has held this position ever since.

Personal Life

Aleksanyan is married to Siranush and has a son named Artem (born 2009). In his free time, he enjoys fishing.
