Lyudmila Shevel is a renowned Russian actress who was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia in 1994. Shevel graduated from the Kiev Theatrical Institute named after Karpenko-Karyi in 1983. She began her career in the film industry while still a student.

One of her most memorable roles was the mischievous and courageous Granya in Boris Savchenko's melodrama "Long Before the War," based on the novel by Vily Lipatov. Shevel had many other interesting roles in subsequent years, including Galina Syroezhkina in the drama "The Stand-In Takes Action," Jeanne in the film "Dance Floor," and the prostitute Lyubka in the melodrama "Night of Sinners."

After a hiatus, Shevel returned to the big screen in the late 90s, appearing in several episodes of the popular TV series "Streets of Broken Lanterns." In 2005, she played the lead role in the comedy series "The Refrigerator and Others."
