Early Career
Lucayano began his career in Brazil, playing for Amapa, JMS, and Juventus. He then joined Banespa and Ulbra, with whom he won the Brazilian Futsal Championship.
European Adventure
In 2003, Lucayano moved to Portugal, where he played for Benfica for one season. He made his debut in the 2003/04 UEFA Futsal Cup and scored a brace against Belgian side Action 21, helping Benfica reach the final, where they lost to Spanish giants Boomerang Interviú.
Spanish Success
Lucayano then transitioned to the Spanish league, playing for Caja Segovia and MRA Navarra. With Navarra, he established himself as one of the team's key players.
Return to Brazil and Russian Glory
In 2009, Lucayano briefly returned to Brazil to play for Joinville. He then signed for Russian club Gazprom-Ugra, where he quickly gained a reputation as a prolific scorer. In less than half the 2009/10 season, he became one of the league's top ten scorers.
International Career
Lucayano has represented Brazil in international futsal tournaments, including the 2009 Grand Prix.
