Biography of Lukas Hradecky
Lukas Hradecky is a Finnish football player of Slovak origin, currently playing as a goalkeeper for Eintracht Frankfurt and the Finnish national team. He was born in Czechoslovakia. When he was 6 years old, his father, a volleyball player, moved to Finland to play for a Finnish club. Hradecky started his career with the Finnish team TPS in Turku.
In 2008, he made his debut for the Finnish U-19 team at the Karel Stegeman Tournament in Ruurlo, where he was named the tournament's best goalkeeper. Although he never played for TPS, he moved to Esbjerg on January 10, 2009, signing a 4-year contract. He underwent a week-long trial at Manchester United on August 3, 2010.
In 2007, Hradecky represented the Finnish national team at the Valentin Granatkin Tournament. He was called up to the senior team by Stuart Baxter for a friendly match against South Korea in January 2010, but he spent the entire game on the bench. He made his debut on May 21, 2010, coming off the bench in the second half of a match against Estonia (which Estonia won 2-0).
