Early Career and Professional Debut
Bartosz Garguła, a Polish footballer, began his youth career playing for Piast Iłowa and SMS Wrocław. In 2002, he commenced his professional career at Polar Wrocław, before transferring to Bełchatów for 115,000 euros in the summer of that year.
Rise to the Top with Bełchatów
Garguła made his Bełchatów debut in the Second League on August 3, 2002, in an away match against Świt Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki (2-1). In the 2004/05 season, he helped the team secure second place in the Second League, earning promotion to the Ekstraklasa. He debuted in the Ekstraklasa on July 26, 2005, against Górnik Zabrze (0-0).
Bełchatów enjoyed a successful 2007/08 season, claiming second place in the Polish Championship and reaching the finals of the Ekstraklasa Cup and Super Cup, where they faced Discobolia and Zagłębie, respectively. Garguła also made his European competition debut on August 30, 2007, in a UEFA Cup qualifying match against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (2-4).
Transfer to Wisła Kraków and International Recognition
In January 2009, Garguła signed a five-year contract with Wisła Kraków, becoming the highest-paid Polish footballer with an annual salary of 350,000 euros. He made his debut for Wisła on October 30, 2009, against Korona (2-3).
Garguła represented Poland at the U-21 level before making his senior debut on September 2, 2006, in a Euro 2008 qualification match against Finland (1-3). He was part of the successful Polish team that qualified for Euro 2008, but did not play in the tournament itself.
