Biography of Luke Fedorenko
Luke Fedorenko is a football player and midfielder for the eighth division English club, Belper Town. He is English with Ukrainian roots and has had a diverse career path, working as a physical education teacher in a school and fixing railway tracks. Currently, he plans to start working at the Manchester United academy in the near future.
Early Life and Background
Luke Fedorenko was born in England to a Ukrainian father and an English mother. His father was born in Kyiv and has been working for the Sheffield railway for over 20 years. His mother is a pure-blooded Englishwoman who has worked in a library her entire life. Fedorenko states that he has never held Russian or Ukrainian citizenship and knows very little about Ukraine as he has never been there.
Professional Career
Fedorenko began his professional career at Barnsley, a club that has spent only one season in the Premier League in its 125-year history and currently resides in the middle of the Championship table. He enjoyed his time at Barnsley, surrounded by professionals, but eventually found himself facing a significant gap between the first team and the reserves. Opportunities to break into the first team became rare, leading him to move to Stockport. However, new signings were banned at Stockport, leaving Fedorenko without a job. He then decided to try his luck in lower leagues, where the fields were poor and playing long passes became necessary. Despite not enjoying this style of play, he adapted to it.
Fedorenko currently plays in the eighth division with Belper Town. The team consists of players who have other jobs and can only train once a week. They have to balance their football careers with their other occupations, and throughout the season, they have to play 42 matches. The team's salaries range from £70 to £220 per month, and Fedorenko earns £200 per month. However, he also has a second job working on the railway, which brings his monthly income to around £600-£700.
Future Aspirations
Fedorenko is tired of working on the railway and recently stumbled upon an opportunity to work in the Manchester United academy, overseeing the physical development of children in their branch facilities. He has teaching experience and believes this opportunity would be perfect for him. He has already had an interview and is eagerly awaiting the results.
Off the Field
Fedorenko enjoys the occasional visit to bars, although he cannot indulge too much due to his football commitments. He believes that moderate drinking is acceptable and emphasizes that football players have other interests outside of the sport. During his free time, he used to travel extensively with his team, going on outings and playing golf twice a week.
Belper Town has its own bar, which is frequented by players, coaches, and fans after matches. It serves as a place for communication, where questions are asked and answered in a friendly atmosphere. The bar also offers food and alcohol, although each player sets their own limits to maintain their performance on the field.
Fedorenko's team usually attracts a minimum of 90 spectators per match, and up to 900 for important games against rival teams. He emphasizes that their league should not be underestimated, as all the players have a strong desire to play at higher levels. They take their tournament seriously, and there are no clear favorites. The eighth division is unpredictable, and anything can happen during games.
Dreams and Aspirations
Luke Fedorenko's dream is to test himself abroad. He is open to offers from foreign clubs and is eager to experience football in a different country. It is not about the money for him; he simply loves adventure and wants to explore opportunities outside of England.
