Education and Teaching Career

Born and raised in the Seychelles, Sylvana Poolreceived her education at the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivieres, Canada. Upon her return, she embarked on a career in teaching, nurturing young minds in various educational institutions.

Entry into Politics

Pool's passion for public service led her to join the Seychelles People's Party (SPPF). In 2006, she was appointed as the Minister of Health for the Republic of Seychelles, demonstrating her commitment to the well-being of her people.

Ministry of Education

In 2010, Pool's expertise in education was recognized when she was appointed as the Minister of Education for the Republic of Seychelles. During her tenure from 2010 to 2016, she spearheaded transformative initiatives aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of education for all Seychellois citizens.
