Andrey Borzykin: Early Life and Influences

Born in a small Russian town, Andrey Borzykin's passion for music began at an early age. His fascination with rock music originated from his father's extensive Western music collection, once forbidden in the USSR. Andrey's musical influences spanned from classic bands like The Beatles and Led Zeppelin to modern artists like Keane, Nine Inch Nails, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. This diverse range of sounds shaped his unique musical style. In 2005, after a brief visit to the United States, he relocated to Boston to pursue his American dream.

Gabriel de Mattia De Oliveira: A Guitar Prodigy

Hailing from Criciúma, Brazil, Gabriel de Mattia De Oliveira picked up his first guitar at the age of 12. Inspired by renowned guitarists from various genres, De Oliveira relentlessly practiced, often dedicating 8-10 hours a day to his instrument. His primary influences included John Mayer, John Frusciante, Mateus Asato, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. In 2017, De Oliveira moved to Boston seeking new experiences, where he met Borzykin.

Alexandra "Sasha" Razumova: A Multifaceted Vocalist

Alexandra Razumova, now a backing vocalist for Major Moment, exudes an effortless grace that belies her hard work and dedication. A former professional tennis player, Razumova has always pushed herself to excel, and music is no exception. By translating and singing her favorite foreign songs, Alexandra mastered English. Her vocal style draws inspiration from the raw power of Linkin Park, Papa Roach, and Muse, as well as the melodic richness of Chris Martin, Gwen Stefani, and Amy Winehouse. Her harmonies and gentle touch add a beautiful dimension to Major Moment's music.

Adam Soucy: A Versatile Drummer

Adam Soucy serves as a session drummer for Major Moment, bolstering the band's rhythmic foundation. Known as a "Swiss Army knife" due to his versatility, Soucy's unique approach to drumming stems from a "schizophrenic" mix of influences. One day, he may be listening to Björk, then Meshuggah, and then The Bad Plus. After collaborations with Horns Become Halos, Paola Bennet, and Anna Madsen, Adam has established himself as an integral part of Major Moment, embracing the challenge of arranging their music.

A Tapestry of Influences and Experiences

Major Moment embodies a fusion of generations, nationalities, cultures, influences, and experiences. United by their unwavering passion, the band strives to create contemporary yet meaningful rock music that resonates from the depths of their hearts. Currently based in a New England recording studio, Major Moment is working on their debut album, "One Small Step," slated for release in the summer of 2018.
