He then pursued Sambo with Esen Turdukul. Inspired by the discipline, he committed to Combat Sambo under the guidance of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.

In addition to his national titles, the fighter achieved notable success in other combat sports. He emerged as a finalist in the Russian Championship, captured the Eurasian Cup and Championship in Hand-to-Hand Combat, and claimed the Russian Pancration Championship.
